BARA Hosts Networking Event at Austin Commercial Offices

More than 150 M/WBE contractors mingled at a networking event on September 29 hosted by BARA. M/WBE firms and contractors had the opportunity to meet with representatives from Parkland Hospital, BARA, Community Healthcare Partners, M.C. Dean, Northstar Fire Protection, Whiting-Turner, Burns & McDonnell and JE Dunn.

Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises are an integral part of the success of the project. Through outreach and networking, BARA representatives are able to meet one-on-one with firms who provide a variety of services that can help benefit the program. This is the second year BARA has hosted a major M/WBE outreach event and, in addition to their monthly activities with local chambers and associations, has provided valuable leads for project managers.
